World Grand Prix Darts: Day 6

The penultimate day of the World Grand Prix witnessed the two semi-finals and also witnessed Phil 'The Power' Taylor lose to his protege Adrian 'Jackpot' Lewis. With the semi-finals now first to five sets Taylor was on the brink of winning the match at 4-2. Only he can know why he ended up losing 5-4 in the end, maybe it was tiredness after his epic battle against Anderson or maybe the partisan crowd got to him this time. But with Lewis into the final it means we are guaranteed a new World Grand Prix champion.

James Wade will be the other man to fight for the crown after he thrashed Barney 5-1; the first two sets went to the deciding leg which Wade won both. Wade then secured the third set before Barney restored some pride with a 170 checkout to seal the fourth set. Wade then went onto win the final two sets and will probably be favourite against Lewis in the final.
