Wet Gorzow Spoils The Party

The 2011 Speedway GP series started in Leszno, Poland and last night it finished in Gorzow, Poland. Unfortunately, due to bad weather, we only managed to get sixteen heats so it wasn't really the proper send off Greg Hancock deserved. However, the newly crowned World Champion made the most of it by picking up ten points from a possible twelve in his four heats to yet again top the meeting chart.

Here's the final standings of the 2011 Speedway GP series, remember the top eight riders get an automatic spot in next year's series:
1.Greg Hancock (usa) 164
2.Andreas Jonsson (swe) 124
3.Jaroslaw Hampel (pol) 122
4.Jason Crump (aus) 110
5.Tomasz Gollob (pol) 106
6.Emil Sayfutdinov (rus) 106
7.Chris Holder (aus) 101
8.Kenneth Bjerre (den) 100

A special mention must go to Darcy Ward of Australia who scored the highest out of the season's wildcards, he picked up 21 points in his meeting.
