The Power then held his throw to win the game and extend his lead at the top.

James Wade and Raymond Van Barneveld both won their first games of the campaign last week and faced of in the third game of the night. Just like the previous game, the first three legs went with throw until Wade broke to lead 3-1. The Machine then hit 110 to extend his lead further and bettered that with a 154-checkout to lead 5-1 at the break. Barney began to fight back but Wade cut the momentum by guaranteeing himself at least a point at 7-4. The Dutchman again attempted to come back and forced the game into a final leg, but Wade took it to win the match 8-6.

The final match of the night saw Simon Whitlock take on Adrian Lewis. Lewis started the match with a 180 but Whitlock won the leg with a 118-checkout. The first break of throw came in sixth leg when Whitlock managed to take a 4-2 lead. The Australian then missed five darts at the double to give Lewis a leg back and a break of throw. Jackpot was able to pull a leg back before Whitlock completed the job with an 8-4 victory.
