Scandinavian Speedway GP: 13/8/11

The Scandinavian GP took place in Malilla, Sweden and was the seventh event on the Speedway calender. Jaroslaw Hampel won the meeting, taking Terenzano's winner Jonsson right on the finish line. Bjerre came third with Sayfutdinov fourth.

The first semi-final saw Jason Crump, who had won all five of his heats, finish third ahead of the wildcard Thomas H Jonasson. Sayfutdinov beat Hampel as they progressed into the final. They were joined by Bjerre who beat Jonsson, series leader Greg Hancock had just sneaked into the semis and finished third ahead of Chris Harris.

Heat 19: Kolodziej fell and was subsequently excluded. The restart saw Bjerre collide with Jonasson on the final lap, no restart was called but Bjerre was excluded post race. 1.Jonsson 2.Jonasson 3.Bjerre 4.Kolodziej
Heat 20: Sayfutdinov brought Lindback down with him and was excluded. The only result that would see Hancock progress happened; 1.Crump 2.Lindback 3.Holder

Although Hampel won the meeting, Jonsson scored the most points with nineteen to Hampel's seventeen. Crump and Bjerre both scored sixteen with Sayfutdinov scoring thirteen. Harris earned ten points with Jonasson and Hancock scoring nine. Gollob scored only three points and looks out of contention with four rounds to go as he drops to third.
