Hope For Robert Kubica
Formula One Renault driver Robert Kubica suffered a potentially career ending crash on the weekend. Kubica was racing in a rally as he geared up for the start of the Formula 1 season which gets underway in early March. Unfortunately Kubica crashed the rally car which left his shoulder and legs badly fractured but also part of his hand was partially severed. At first experts thought Kubica wouldn't be able to race again but after extensive surgery to his hand, Kubica could move his fingers. Kubica finished eighth in last year's Drivers Championship and was definitely going to be one to watch this season. However that may sadly not be the case but Renault have said that he'll be out for at least two months so he may return this season. He is to have more surgery to repair his fractured bones today and hopefully it all goes well as we all wish him to a quick recovery as is possible. As for Renault former Hispania driver Bruno Senna, former Force India driver Viantonio Liuzzi and Nick Heidfeld are all in competition to deputise for Kubica until he returns.
