Just three days after Stoke's disappointment in the FA Cup final against Man City, they had to travel to Eastlands for the scheduled Premiership game that would have taken place at the weekend if it wasn't already the cup final. The FA Cup final was slightly disappointing in the way that it was only City you could see scoring but yesterday was even more one-sided than Saturday.
It took just fourteen minutes for City to carve open Stoke with Tevez returning to the starting line-up in the Premiership with a goal. Lescott made it 2-0 for City eight minutes into the second half before Tevez netted a second to round it off, this left the media reporting how Tevez will now be staying after doubts just a few weeks ago. City now move ahead of Arsenal into third and that last automatic Champions League place. Stoke remain ninth and will be a vital role in the relegation battle as they host Wigan on Survival Sunday.
