City Just Get Frozen Out By Everton

With most of the Premiership action postponed due to snow this weekend, workers at Manchester City did all they could to make sure the game still went ahead. Even better news for City was that Tevez had seemingly done a Rooney and has withdrawn his transfer request after talks (with possible monetary offers involved). However City probably would have liked the game to have been postponed when Cahill opened the scoring after just four minutes. It got even worse for City when Leighton Baines made it 2-0 after just nineteen minutes. From there though City gained confidence and mounted all out attack on Everton, David Moyes' team withstood the pressure with great bravery.

The same story continued in the second half with City bombarding Everton's defence. Everton's task became a lot harder when the returning Victor Anichebe received a second yellow card to send Everton down to ten men on the hour mark. City looked to have taken full advantage twelve minutes later when a driven Yaya Toure cross was deflected by Jagielka into his own net to make it 1-2. Everton managed to hold on and Kolo Toure received an injury time second yellow card to level the man score out.
