2011/2012 Barclay's Premiership Predictions: Arsenal

Transfers In: Gervinho (Lille, £10.7M), Jenkinson (Charlton, £1.1M), Campbell (Deportivo Saprissa, £1.1M)
Overview: Arsenal haven't had a great pre-season with a draw against NY Red Bulls and a defeat to Benfica amongst others. They have done well so far to keep hold of Fabregas and Nasri but if they do eventually go, Wenger needs to get it done now to have longer to find replacements. They haven't really added to the squad, Gervinho for me isn't a top class player despite a good season in Ligue 1 last season. They do need players like Arshavin and Walcott to be consistently good this season and need Van Persie to stay fit. Arsenal need a good quality centre back and some seniority but as it stands, I think Arsenal will struggle this season.
Euro 2012/Stars of the Future: Walcott and Wilshere will be looking for a place in the 2012 team and I think Wilshere has the better chance. Craig Eastmond looks to be a star of the future.
One's To Watch: Arsenal look to have a decent keeper now in young Szczesny so keep an eye out, if Van Persie stays fit also watch to see if he has a good season.
Prediction: The highest they will finish is 4th but for me look liable to miss out on Champions League at the end of this season.
