2011/2012 Barclay's Premiership Predictions: Aston Villa

Transfers In: Given (Man City, undisc.), N'Zogbia (Wigan, £10.8M)
Overview: Despite losing Downing, Young and Friedel, Villa look fairly strong. New boss Alex McLeish does have a tough job after managing their bitter rivals but he can certainly do a good job. They've bought well so far with Given a top class keeper and N'Zogbia providing good service to the strikers. Finished runners-up in the Barclay's Asia Trophy and for me are just missing a second top class striker, Robbie Keane would be an ideal buy. They could possibly do with a defender but Villa possess a great youth system which will show the likes of Albrighton and Bannan.
Euro 2012/Stars of the Future: Warnock has been included in England squads under Capello so would look to have a shout. Agbonlahor and Bent are probably more likely to feature in an England shirt next year. Delfouneso and Delph will be looking to make the step up from the U21s with Albrighton and Scotland will have Bannan.
One's To Watch: You would probably say Given, back in action after a long time on City's bench. But Albrighton needs to come of age to replace Downing or Young.
Prediction: It's going to be such a tight season at all ends of the table. The mid-table has about eight teams challenging for Europa League football and Villa will be one of them.
