Transfers In: Lukaku (Anderlecht), Romeu (Barcelona B, £5.1M), Courtois (Genk, £9M)
Overview: Chelsea have had a quiet, but positive, pre-season. They won the Barclay's Asia Trophy with Torres scoring in the final. New manager Andre Villas-Boas has a tough job on his hands and will have to provide results or he will also be shown the door. They haven't really added to the squad, Lukaku is the highest-profile name. Chelsea are going to have to battle hard to win the league this season and need Torres to perform in this ageing Chelsea squad.
Euro 2012/Stars of the Future: Cole, Terry and Lampard should all feature in Euro 2012. Sturridge needs to move to retain his reputation otherwise he could face the sub's bench quite often. Josh McEachran looks to be a star of the future.
One's To Watch: All eyes will be on Torres to see if he can deliver this season. If Sturridge gets games, keep a close eye on him.
Prediction: I'm not sure if this ageing squad will have what it takes but they will be challenging. They also face a battle for second if they fail to win the league.
