Enyeamaniac: Nigeria 1-2 Greece 17/6/10

Nigeria line-up: Enyeama, Yobo (c), Taiwo (Echiejle, 55' (Afolabi, 77')), Shittu, Yakubu, Obemwingie (Ogbuke Obasi, HT), Uche, Kaita, Haruna, Odiah, Etuhu
Greece line-up:Tzorvas, Tziolis, Papadopoulos, Karagounis (c), Vyntra, Salpingidis, Torosidis, Kyrgiakos, Gekas (Ninis, 79'), Papastathopoulos (Samaras, 37'), Katsouranis

A complete contrast to their opening matches both teams actually played quite well. Uche gave Nigeria an early lead on 16 minutes knowing that a defeat for either team would near enough guarantee their exit. Uche's goal was the first goal direct form a free-kick which everyone has waited so long for. However Nigeria's advantage looked to diminishing after a straight red card for Kaita, that led to Greece bringing on Samaras to really press home their man advantage. However Enyeama was having other ideas as he kept Nigeria ahead with some great saves. Haruna was also helping the cause as he took a Samaras shot off the line, however just before half-time Salpingidis shot form 2o yards which deflected off Haruna and Greece were level.

The second half now favoured Greece as they had the momentum, but both Tzorvas and Enyeama produced wonderful performances to keep the scores level and either man could have been awarding man of the match. But unfortunately for Enyeama the game will probably remebered for his fatal error; a blistering shot from Tziolis was parried straight into the path of Torosidis who slotted home. This leaves Nigeria desperately needing a win against South Korea and Greece to be thrashed by Argentina if Nigeria are going to have any chance of progressing.
