This group should be a matter of who out of England and USA will win the group and who out of Algeria and Slovenia finish bottom of the group. For me, all the hype surrounding England's 'best chance since 1966' is overrated and slightly annoying. Capello is deemed a god because he won 9 out 10 games but tend to overlook it was against minnows with the likes of Kazakhstan and a very injury-hit Croatia. When it boiled down to the friendlies we lost to European champions Spain, drew to Holland after they took their foot of the gas and beat Germany 1-0 in ,quite frankly, an abysmal game. Hopefully when we come up against USA, who are another decent side, everyone will see where abouts we actually are compared to the other big guns.
USA will progress with England for sure and are boasting a very decent team. Landon Donovan had a great loan spell at Everton and will pull the strings for them. The strike force of Fulham's Clint Dempsey, who has had an amazing season with the Cottagers, and Hull's Jozy Altidore, who looked like a strong striker who holds the ball up well.
Algeria will have to watch their discipline which seems to be very lacking after watching the 2010 African Cup of Nations; they were reduced to eight men against Egypt which included goalkeeper Chaouchi actually headbutting the referee. I think they will struggle and finish bottom of the group just behind Slovenia who don't seem to have any inspiring talent either. Their main man is ex-West Brom midfielder Robert Koren.
