Another 'winner plus one' group as current World Champions Italy occupy this group. However during the Confederations Cup they looked very lethargic and a shadow of the 2006 World Cup winning side. They will need to improve massively to do well in this tournament and the surprise omission of Guiseppe Rossi, who looked very good and produced a great goal in the Confederations Cup, may see Italy lack options up front.
Paraguay should join Italy into the knockout rounds with Roque Santa Cruz spearheading their attack. The other two New Zealand and Slovakia could produce a shock as New Zealand looked okay in the Confederations Cup and Ryan Nelson can boost their defence. As will Liverpool's Martin Skrtel for Slovakia who I think will finish fourth in this group but again it may be tight.
